Overview

SummitPeek is designed with your privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal information or usage data. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

SummitPeek does not collect any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, account credentials)
• Location data — your GPS coordinates are used on-device only and are never transmitted
• Camera data — the camera feed is used exclusively to render the augmented reality view and is never recorded or sent anywhere
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Any form of behavioral or tracking data

Device Permissions

SummitPeek requests the following permissions to function. All data accessed through these permissions stays on your device and is never transmitted:

• Camera — Used to display the live camera view that AR overlays are rendered on top of. No images or video are stored or sent.
• Location (When In Use) — Used to determine which mountain peaks are visible from your current position and to calculate distances. Your location is never transmitted off-device.
• Motion & Gyroscope — Used to detect your device's orientation so that peak labels track the correct position on screen as you move. This data is not stored or transmitted.

Peak Database

All mountain peak data (names, coordinates, and altitudes) is bundled directly within the app. SummitPeek does not connect to any external server or network service at any time during normal operation.

Third-Party Services

SummitPeek does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no third-party services that receive any data from users of this app.

Children's Privacy

SummitPeek does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected from any user, the app is safe for use by all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top of the page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
